Matchani
Gran is a delightful 12 bedroom Eighteenth Century Menorcan Farmhouse
and working farm, set in 25 acres of tranquil countryside.

This typically Menorcan
farmhouse is very large, and has been lovingly restored to
its original splendour.
Fortunately we took many photographs throughout, mainly to
remind ourselves never to do it again!
..The property has twenty
five acres, which offers sufficient grazing for our ever increasing
flock of sheep and our two donkeys George and Isabella. In
the summer months when the ground is very dry, they are grateful
for kitchen scraps such as toast, potato peelings and their
favourite - spaghetti. |
Pool and Front Lawn |
| We can offer you complete sanctuary. Relax, unwind
and over-indulge whilst sitting by the 35ft heated pool or
dining in the 100 ft converted barn and museum. |
Gardens |
Half of the two hundred foot barn has been tiled,
the beams stripped and stained and now houses Shaun's spectacular
collection of antique farm implements; six beautifully restored
carriages, ploughs and other artefacts.
Shaun and I offer an extremely informal, relaxed
and stress-free atmosphere at Matchani Gran, especially
as we are unable to accept children. Only our guests and
their friends are able to utilise the facilities and, as
we are not open to the public, this ensures complete privacy.
Although Matchani Gran is close to Mahon airport we are
not beneath the flight path, so are only affected by a little
aircraft noise: however, this is not an instrusion.
