Matchani
Gran is a delightful 12 bedroom Eighteenth Century Menorcan Farmhouse
and working farm, set in 25 acres of tranquil countryside.

We have twelve tasteful, well appointed bedrooms,
10 of which have ensuite bathrooms. The Carriage House and
the West Room both have ensuite shower rooms.
All the rooms have tea and coffee making facilities
with a selection of teas and biscuits. All the bathrooms
have shampoos, bath gel, make-up remover pads, Q-tips, soap
powder and hairdryers. The towels are changed daily.
Pool towels are provided and these can be taken to
the beach. We have over 2000 paperback books, plus an ironing
board.

SIX ROOMS HAVE INDIVIDUALLY CONTROLLED AIR-CONDITIONING AND
HEATING AS WELL AS CEILING FANS.
The tap water at Matchani Gran is perfect to drink
as we have our own well with an ultra violet system and charcoal
filters. There are no mosquitoes at Matchani. |
North Patios |
North and South Four Poster Bedrooms Air-conditioned.
These are situated in the West Wing of the house, with
ceilings reaching 13ft. The South Four Poster has access
via the porch and spacious patio, overlooks
the lawn and gardens at the front of the house.
The North Four Poster has its own entrance at the side of
the house with a separate shady patio surrounded by planters,
with chairS and tables to enjoy the view across the fields.

The Carriage House.
This room is situated on the edge of the wood and was
originally used to store the Sunday Carriage. The private
south facing patio, with loungers and tables, offers total
seclusion as it is surrounded by trees and cacti.
North 1,2 and 3 Bedrooms.
These three rooms are on the north side of the house,
overlooking the countryside. Each room has its own 220 square
foot patio, separated by planters. |
South 1, 2 and 3 Bedrooms Air-conditioned.
These rooms are accessed at the front of the house through
a spacious, airy patio. This, together with the porch offer
a shaded relaxing sitting area.
The West Room Air-conditioned.
Found situated between the North and South Four Posters,
and has its entrance at the side of the house. It was originally
used for smoking sausages and still has the antique wall oven. |
The Master Suite.
The Master suite faces north and has commanding views
of Sant Climent over the countryside. Both the Master and
the Junior suites are upstairs and are very popular. The pitched
roof rises to over 20 feet above the bed and should be one
of the grandest rooms you will ever sleep in. |

The double sinks and bath for two in the spacious
en suite bathroom complements the luxury of the suite. The
Master leads off from a roomy lounge area, which is exclusively
for use of the two upstairs rooms. This lounge leads to a
30 foot south facing balcony with views to the sea over the
countryside, where guests can find sun-loungers, chairs and
tables and again exclusively for the use of the two suites.

Junior Suite.
The Junior suite is very spacious with a door leading directly
to the terrace. The large bathroom is the same size as the
bedroom and has a north-facing window, which allows the suite
to benefit from the lovely through breeze of a north, south
aspect. Both rooms have ceiling fans, tea and coffee making
facilities |
